If you skin get sunburnt and becomes red and sore, here are some cooling and soothing simple preparations from different herbs:
1) Make an infusion by boiling lettuce leaves or nettles or camomile flowers or tea leaves in a cup of hot water and apply on the burnt skin.
2) Rub slices of cucumber over the affected area.
3) Sieve a few strawberries and mix with one tablespoon butter milk and apply.
4) Apply whey (curd water) on the burnt skin with a piece of damp cotton wool.
